About This Station

The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro weather station with Solar, UV and 24hr FARS. The data is collected every 2 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge, solar, UV and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible. The station is situated in a built up location on the slope of the hill leading into the main town of Nailsea, which means that it tends to be quite sheltered from wind from the west. Also, being in a valley it tends to be even more sheltered from winds from north and south. Although fitted with Solar and UV sensors, there is a small period where these sensors are in shade during the early afternoon.
